Sachin Tendulkar walks away with millions longing for more.

Sachin is playing his 200th international test match and he is the only one to do so. He creates this unbreakable record of playing 200 test matches. All his fans are happy for his yet another record. But the fact that this is his last match makes them all sad. We probably watched his last international innings in whites as the West Indies team does not look good enough to offer Indian cricket team another chance to bat. Sachin scored 74 runs before giving a catch in the slips. Dev Narine was the lucky bowler who got Sachin Tendulkar's wicket in his final test match.
  Sachin, as usual for last 24 years, did not disappoint any of his fans and looked in great touch during his stay at the crease. The match was also the rare and only occasion when Sachin's mother watched him play while sitting in the VIP-box. At this moment every Indian has this feeling of departure. We all feel as if we are losing something really big and something very close to our hearts. Yes we know its him, but may be its time to respect his decision and stand by the one who stood for us each time we wanted him to.

BCCI did it again. They chose money over feelings and VVIPs over common man.

The cricket board in India is famous for its pro-business strategies. This was the reason why such an important test match ( Sachin's 200th) was snatched away from South African cricket board and arranged within India. Yes the top management were successful in making this event commercially a hit but Sachin Tendulkar's fans will never forget how almost all the tickets went to the rich and VVIPs and even the broadcast rights were limited to a particular section. The board never seemed concerned about the people who lost opportunity of watching Sachin one last time. In present era where every single One day international is being shown on National television the fact that no one tried to show this match on DD1 was heart breaking. The poor in this country would have never complained about zig-zag picture quality but may be the BCCI wanted to protect us from any such experience.

 Well one can always complain about one or the other thing and therefore I am holding my thoughts back for some time. Its time to celebrate the huge event. We all congratulate Sachin Tendulkar for the successful carrier that he has just completed with yet another success and also wish him best of luck for the upcoming challenges. I want to modify the lines written on the score board that were shown while Sachin was present on the ground like this-

Presidential Polls-A Twist in The Tale.

The leading Presidential Polls contestant Pranab Mukharji had almost won a full majority till this evening but from there onwards, there was a new turn of incidents. Firstly NDA still kept its cards hidden after today's broad party meeting and then one of there senior most leaders Mr. Ram Jaith Malani announced the will to fight against Pranab Mukharji.
 While the reports of NDA trying some mechanism of give and take or backing P A Sangma kept coming out continuously there senior leader announced that he is not happy(as is Mamta) with Pranab as President and would not let him win unchallenged. Ram Jaith Malani, an active member of the movement against corruption and black money, is said to have few bad memories of Pranab's White paper(which really was completely white)  on Black money and his refusal to declare names of those involved.
 Experts say that it was his (Pranab's) SUPER efforts that saved the culprits and are still hiding their BLACK faces from the Nation. Pranab on the other hand had been expressing his helplessness in declaring those names because HIS GOVERNMENT HAD PROMISED SO TO THE FRANCE GOVERNMENT. Which to me is totally unacceptable as his commitments towards his nation should have been placed a lot higher than a political agreement( that in first place should not have been signed without informing the nation). So we have got a new formation coming up that might even intrigue the NDA and Mamta to launch a fresh attack on other half.
 There was this another bit of information coming in about NDA backing P A Sangma. If some reports were true then NDA has sent a message  to TMC via Sangma for a collaboration. Whoever becomes second candidate, it is now getting difficult for Pranab to win unanimously and will have to undergo a contest that seems already in his favour.

Petrol Prices Set Indian Roads On Fire.

This one is over due. Government decided to set petrol on fire once again.  Oops sorry IOC decided to increase petrol price in India by whooping never before amount of Rs 7+. This petrol price hike came right after the Parliament session on Budget was over (and they realized they had very little to raise their monthly paychecks). and all elections were over ( so no fears of being questioned during campaigning).

 Finally it happened when the price of one liter of  petrol and a bear became equal. What it meant was that you could not drink and drive both at the same time. Either you by petrol , don't drink and drive home safe; or you by a bear and are not left with anything to by fuel, so walk back home safely. So you are free to decide the options.

 This shows how much our government is concerned about our safety and convenience.

 Over the last eight years or so, during the rule of UPA we have seen petrol double its importance and costs from around 35Rs to 75 Rs (Apprx). The government meanwhile has been busy confusing us with our growth rate and our spending capabilities(that depends on our daily 25 Rs earnings) .

 The government never says we are struggling with inflation rates and instead pets its own back in international community that Indian common man is spending almost double the actual expected price of a commodity.

 As far as growth rate claims are concerned only God knows what they mean to The common Indian citizens. Having a growth rate of (let us say) 9% is absolute mockery of Indians, if one knows the actual state of the factors like Nutrition, Health, Food availability, housing and yes last but not the least corruption.



Yes I know all of this will be gone with such a growth rate (second highest after china) but the corruption still will win over the common Indian as all of the benefits of this growth rate are considered to go through those well known SINKS.

Government just celebrated completion of three years of its existence and the gift for Indians was petrol price hike. Although they(Ministers) claimed they had very little or nothing to do with this but after furious reactions from people and media somehow they now claim to be our best friends and promise indirectly that the burden will be shared by state governments. This to me seems more of a ploy to corner the opposition's State governments and find a safe route for their government to escape any credibility.

 Friends, I might have reacted immaturely by expressing my anger and may have missed out on any positives (if any) of this petrol price hike. Please let me know about yours views too.
