Presidential Polls-Dr. APJ Kalam Opts-Out.

Dr. APJ Kalam finally decided to stay out of the current race for (Raisena Hills) Presidential Polls. He today announced his decision that he is not going to contest for a second term.

Before this statement S. Kulkarni, a BJP politician went to Kalam's residence to convince him but Kalam remained unmoved.

Even after Kalam had announced his decision, Kulkarni went to see him(Kalam) again and discussed the matter; and came back to BJP core group meeting. This time also BJP did not give any signs of Kalam reverting his decision.

It was reported that today's BJP core group meeting was about party internal issues(like fragmentation of party in Himachal) and was not about Presidential Polls.

The media also reported that BJP has talked to Mamta benerji about PA Sangma's name(as her favorite Kalam is not contesting) and might consider him as their unified candidate.

Meanwhile there were rumors of TMC parting ways with central government and it was said that all six central TMC ministers have submitted their resignations to Mamta. But all this was later disapproved by one of the ministers.

Looking at all developments so-far Pranab is still the undefeated candidate and might as well run home(Raisena hills) unchallenged.

Presidential Polls-A State Of Confusion

The Presidential Polls in India are getting more and more confusing for the political parties in India. With Pranab as its firm leading candidate Indan National Congress might have relaxed a bit but its main opposition is still undecided.

NDA even after good number of meetings over the issue have not decided on its candidate.

If NDA decides to go with Kalaam, it might get close to important West Bengal political party TMC and thus might find some ground there in 2014 elections.

But it also means NDA will have to move away from the southern India's Political Parties who have already given their support to P A Sangma.

Meanwhile Congress has also got critics lined against Pranab for his alleged involvement in face saving of corrupt and black money culprits.

Arvind Kejriwal an activist against corruption in India, Ram Jaith Malani and few others have already started opposing Pranab's candidature.

NDA has scheduled their meeting for 9:00 PM tonight. Whether this time they will come out with final decision is still not clear. Their different leaders meanwhile have been trying to convince Kalaam to contest.

On the other side ShivSena is also going to to meet up today over the same issue. Effect of which might also effect NDA decision.

Presidential Polls-A Twist in The Tale.

The leading Presidential Polls contestant Pranab Mukharji had almost won a full majority till this evening but from there onwards, there was a new turn of incidents. Firstly NDA still kept its cards hidden after today's broad party meeting and then one of there senior most leaders Mr. Ram Jaith Malani announced the will to fight against Pranab Mukharji.
While the reports of NDA trying some mechanism of give and take or backing P A Sangma kept coming out continuously there senior leader announced that he is not happy(as is Mamta) with Pranab as President and would not let him win unchallenged. Ram Jaith Malani, an active member of the movement against corruption and black money, is said to have few bad memories of Pranab's White paper(which really was completely white)  on Black money and his refusal to declare names of those involved.
Experts say that it was his (Pranab's) SUPER efforts that saved the culprits and are still hiding their BLACK faces from the Nation. Pranab on the other hand had been expressing his helplessness in declaring those names because HIS GOVERNMENT HAD PROMISED SO TO THE FRANCE GOVERNMENT. Which to me is totally unacceptable as his commitments towards his nation should have been placed a lot higher than a political agreement( that in first place should not have been signed without informing the nation). So we have got a new formation coming up that might even intrigue the NDA and Mamta to launch a fresh attack on other half.
There was this another bit of information coming in about NDA backing P A Sangma. If some reports were true then NDA has sent a message  to TMC via Sangma for a collaboration. Whoever becomes second candidate, it is now getting difficult for Pranab to win unanimously and will have to undergo a contest that seems already in his favour.

Presidential Polls-Pranab Leading Candidate

Pranab Mukharji finally got his name proposed by UPA chairperson Soniya Gandhi for upcoming Presidential Polls. With this the three day long chaos of naming a candidate and supporting him reached a stage where Pranab is now expected to come out victorious.
The 4:00 PM meeting was thus a successfull one for Congress as one of their main opponents changed mind and decided to support UPA candidate. Mulayam had already indicated his will to support UPA nominee indirectly and he did that. With SP party supporting UPA there is little or no chance for any other candidate to contest and win the polls.
TMC supremo Mamta Benerji is still claiming to have a few cards up-sleeves and said the game has not ended yet and it is just a beginning. But mathematically even she might be aware of the fact that UPA has got there candidate through to the Riasena Hills.
The opposition had already stated that they would be waiting for UPA to declare first and have not till now given there view about Pranab's name. Now with Pranab's  name being almost a winner there is possibility of NDA giving him unanimous victory and may be in turn have their candidate(if any) be selected as vice-President. Tomorrow is yet again an important day for these Presidential Polls as NDA and AIDMK are supposed to decide their way-forward.

Presidential Polls-Mulayam Holds The Key

The tough exercise of selecting much discussed candidate is still on and making those with low FITNESS run out of it. The king maker yesterday was Mamta Benerji but by the morning the game changed on its head as now Mulayam's inclination towards UPA is becoming more evident. So from hear onwards Mulayam is in commanding position and will decide who becomes our next President.
The process of endless meetings of UPA is still on and today for the first time NDA alliance also met over the same issue. We have not yet decided our candidate and will keep closely following the events that unfold during this whole chaos, senior NDA leader LAl Krishan Advani said after meeting was over. He also treid to gain some profit out of issue by saying that this is probably second highest conflicted Presidential Poll after 1969 where congress Leaders back then had deliberately made their own party candidate lose the contest.
There is stron possibility of congress declaring Pranab as its final name by this evening after their meeting scheduled to be held at 4 PM is over. So I shall come back with a discussion over the declared name. And if it is Pranab then I have got some serious opposition to that(will tell you about that only if he is named). I know own disliking for him won't hamper his chances but there is a question that I want him to answer to Indian citizens.
