Shamefull, Disgusting, Black spot on Democratic setup-These words are not enough.

Today Indian Parliament is in pitiable insane condition.

The Indian democracy has seen many many days where any or all parties have been guilty of not letting the Parliament function. The abusive language, snatching mikes, throwing chairs and all sorts of disgusting things  have happened in the temple of democracy and over the years most of us if not all have started to take it as normal. All the political parties over the years have maintained that this is one of the ways to show your disagreement with whatever is happening in the house. Specially when the governing parties or the governing coalitions try to introduce new bills or amendments without consulting the house. Though There is the obvious political side to this.

Politicians and political parties have time and again used these sort of non democratic and ill-will methods to gain advantages or harm the political opponents. I am sure that non of the parties that are there can claim to be clean with respect to adjourning the house as and when they like or they require to. The Indian National Congress has done this to shield its Members of parliament whenever they were caught in some sort of scam or corruption or crime. The opposition has also been interrupting house for years. In fact the current government may have seen most number of hours to have been ruined due to the chaos in house.

All said and done there had not been a worst day in the functioning of the house than today. The Respected Members of Parliament today did it all. From spraying pepper, kick-boxing each other, attacking each other with mikes (some saw them as knife), braking tables and snatching day's schedule from speaker's table. The most unbelievable fact is that the chaos was not created by any opposition party member but the ones who belong to the ruling party. 

 

The script had already been prepared by the governing coalition yesterday when they introduced the interim railway budget in a house full of chaos. The political critics had not yet finished criticizing the unusual incident and today all this occurs. The management skills of the UPA had already been under the scanner for days and they had been blamed to have staged this drama where nothing seems to be under control. One should not forget that these people belong to same party that supposedly has the most strict central command in the hands of Gandhi Family.

I have intentionally avoided touching upon the so called central or main issue "Telangana" as it has no significance with respect to the standards we have reached in terms of functioning of the Democratic setup.

The honorable speaker has already suspended the 17 members of parliament who were involved in this shameful act. Meanwhile the parties have started to give it a political color of their liking.

It remains to be seen if country still has to suffer more until the next election or weather all this is actually because of the upcoming elections. I as one of the Indian citizens can only pray that nothing of this sort is ever ever ever repeated again it the future.

Indian politics - Biggest opportunist Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Mulayam Singh proves that he is the pure opportunist in Indian politics.

Mulayam Singh Yadav has started cooing his favorite tunes again. He has been trying his level best to somehow create that illusive third front in Indian politics. He tried it in the year of Indian Presidential election when he tried to lure in TMC supremo Mamta for a tie up after she decided to quit the partnership with UPA.  Both these leaders were supposed to be cooking up a different dish of their own during the previous Presidential elections. But at the very last moment Yadav decided to back the UPA candidate Pranab Mukharji who eventually became Indian President.  Poor Mamta was left ditched thinking about her plans to disturb the central government that had pushed her aside because of her frequent interferences with the functioning of different ministries.

Mulayam has shown this dwindling non-credible character too many times in the past. He can change his manifesto and party themes over-night with respect to any issue. He did it during nuclear deal. He did it during the FDI bill episode by abstaining the voting in parliament. His party supported the congress election time populist Food bill.  He and his men have bailed out the UPA government on so many occasions. In fact there are not many political parties in India that Mulayam does not favour. And hence every time Mulayam comes close to another elections he begins his efforts to tie-up with any of the political parties in India. The only political party that seems distant to his ambitions is BJP.

 Mulayam is one of those Indian politicians who don't bother about what people think about India and keep doing their best to somehow grab those powerful positions in the democratic setup. He named his party as Smajwadi Party but the way every one from his family gets the MP tickets and becomes minister of even chief minister just because he or she is a Yadav, shows you his type of politics clearly. The huge upsurge in the crime and corruption rates in his own state under his son's rule shows the kind of people that thrive under his protection and leadership. His is the same party that sacks an honest IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal and then defends the decision without any regrets. The senior ministers in his Utter Pradesh are being directly connected to the staging of recent riots in Utter Pradesh and the father and son duo (Mulayam and Akhilesh Yadav) honor the involved people with the grand dinner and lunches.

So here comes yet another such attempt from this Utter Pradesh minority politician. He is now claiming that his party will be making an alliance with Prakash Karat's left and might even make a government without the unwanted involvement of any of National parties, namely BJP and Indian National Congress. One must remember how he has been used and utilized by this UPA for its in-house majority purposes time and again while showing him the CBI stick constantly. So now he wants to manage his carrier without the blessing from the congressmen.

He may have guessed out that UPA has gone terribly wrong with its scams and corruption stories and it won't be able to come back to the center with any majority. In which case the BJP led NDA might be at the helm of affairs and which further could spell trouble for his CBI cases. He has been let off the hook by CBI for the time being. This might be the prize for his loyalties towards the current government. But as soon as BJP will get this tool CBI Mulayam is surely going to be one of the first to suffer the political heat.

Therefore this clever(actually clever than a wolf) Indian politician wants to make some timely arrangements. He might be dreaming of a situation where both the central parties and their respective fronts don't get enough votes for the formation of government and he along with his friends from the LEFT could make some kind of an odd arrangement in Delhi after the General elections.
Yes it is exactly as difficult as it was for me to write down the above jumble words. I had to arrange and rearrange the long sentence by grouping up those too many words in one line. Similarly Yadav needs to group up the parties that have totally different ideologies. But after all his day dreaming I am very much confident while saying that there was no third front in Indian politics and their won't be any in near future.

The regional politicians are more worried about their own carrier than the democracy of our country. The likes of Mulayams, Mayavatis and Lalus are who are responsible for the rapidly decreasing popularity of this democratic setup. All these regional stalwarts started out as representatives for different sections of society but ended up representing their own political ambitions and hiding wrong doings. May God bless them all with appropriate punishment for their selfish deeds.

Presidential Polls-Dr. APJ Kalam Opts-Out.

Dr. APJ Kalam finally decided to stay out of the current race for (Raisena Hills) Presidential Polls. He today announced his decision that he is not going to contest for a second term.

Before this statement S. Kulkarni, a BJP politician went to Kalam's residence to convince him but Kalam remained unmoved.

Even after Kalam had announced his decision, Kulkarni went to see him(Kalam) again and discussed the matter; and came back to BJP core group meeting.This time also BJP did not give any signs of Kalam reverting his decision.

It was reported that today's BJP core group meeting was about party internal issues(like fragmentation of party in Himachal) and was not about Presidential Polls.

The media also reported that BJP has talked to Mamta benerji about PA Sangma's name(as her favorite Kalam is not contesting) and might consider him as their unified candidate.

Meanwhile there were rumors of TMC parting ways with central government and it was said that all six central TMC ministers have submitted their resignations to Mamta. But all this was later disapproved by one of the ministers.

Looking at all developments so-far Pranab is still the undefeated candidate and might as well run home(Raisena hills) unchallenged. 

Next First Citizen Of India-Presidential Election

India is all set have Presidential elections next month and contest gets interesting with every single move of political parties.
Indian political parties are toiling it out hard this time for their choice of candidate to be elected as Indian President. Till now there were only three or four candidates that were being discussed but this evening something happened that made this race more interesting. Now along with much discussed A P J Abdul kalaam, Hamid Ansari, P A Sangma and Pranab Mukharji there are few surprising names that have been proposed by UPA Supporters. Today Mamta Benerji and Mulayam Yadav announced in a joint press conference their set of possible candidates and they are- 1) A Kalaam, 2)Manmohan Singh and 3) Somnath Chetterji.
 While two names proposed are understandable, the name of current Prime Minister is a bid surprise even for Manmohan himself(I Guess). Is it in any way possible practically for a Prime Minister to give up his office and leave his already struggling government in all sorts of dangers. Or is it time that they give their future leader (Rahul Gandhi) a short training session from 2012 to 2014? This was the question being asked to most congressies  during Prime time discussions.
 As far as  I know this is not what Rahul would be prepared for, he won't like to carry the baggage of all that this government had earned in last couple of years. This could further dampen the 2014 party performance.
 With opposition and some bigger players like DMK still silent over the issue, may be there are still few more surprises in store for us. They too can come up with a new name to complicate things even further. Let us wait and see them come out with their strategy. Who knows if they come up with Anna Hazarey?

 I am not going to criticize democracy in any way when I say that the politics in democracy too have got its disadvantages. What I want to emphasize is the role of the political parties in a democracy that just becomes a puzzle for me to understand and get-on with.

 we have always been one of the worlds biggest democracies(at least for our population) and will always fever it that way. Having a different opinion is something that is not banned or restricted in India. To have that opinion and get it heard or addressed we have been involved in multiparty system in India. Through such a system one can find one or the other party relevant to his or her own ideas. We are lucky to have such a system in place. But are we really? 

What we have seen for over a couple of decades or so is a system that is more designed to facilitate the political parties in India than the common man(men).

These political   and pretend to be talking about everyone. They have tried to divide Indians on the basis of religion,cast,economic class and area. This way they have got easy free method of targeting potential voter in bulk and do not need to discuss anything on ground levels.

 Dividing the whole population in terms of cast, economics and gender and so on... makes it easy to address big numbers without being bothered about their individual interests.

These political parties in India (party) are so bent on their great philosophies that at times the country seems of no importance, forget about one's own thoughts about country and political science.

All (ruling non-ruling) political parties did that they could to uphold their party interests. Government bought and sold MPs like buying bananas. The opposing did the stings and all that. An incident that did not get much of attention was the suspension of Parliament Speaker from his own party just because the poor man decided to vote on the bases of his rational thinking and not on the basis of his party line(Knowing  that a speaker is independent of his party and need not to follow former parties line on every issue).

 All said and done, may be one could call it over exertion of issue. But can we live with such political system where the imaginary party lines are of utmost importance and there seems to be no room for free, rational, open minded policies. May be we need to remind these folks and ourselves that democracy was "By The People, For The People." We need to get the common man to the center of things and issues, let him decide his fate.
 The politics is needed to help him do so, not to stop him of doing so. There are too many clear as well as unclear thoughts in my mind about the subject and will be looking forward to your valued inputs. I shall be following it up with other articles.
